| CRITICAL BLOOD SHORTAGE CONTINUES |

and donate as soon as they can as the summer shortage lingers on. Sunday
night saw several terrible accidents locally, and with the blood supply
already seriously low, lives are put at risk.

Six years ago the Community Blood Bank saw a huge outpouring of support as
over 1500 people donated blood in the three days following the 9-11 attacks
in 2001. Every year since then the CBB has struggled with a blood shortage
on the anniversary of those attacks.
"If you are going to pick a week to come help this is the week," Says Dan
Desrochers Director of Marketing and Community Relations at the Community
Blood Bank. "Please do you part by coming back to give blood."
All donors are strongly encouraged to donate at the Community Blood Bank,
2646 Peach Street. Community Blood Bank is open from 9a.m. 6p.m. Monday
through Friday and until 7:30pm Tuesday night and Saturday 9a.m.-12:30 p.m.
